CUPCORN
 
Daily Fresh Cup Corn is one of its most popular and unique products. A special technique of processing the corn is being used to retain its nutrients and sweetness. This technique produces corn in the form of Whole Kernel “Non-Cut”. The corn’s natural freshness is deep-frozen within hours from harvest without addition of any flavour, colouring and preservatives, and if free from any synthetic chemicals. The Corn is then steamed at specific temperature to retain natural juiciness and golden colour prior to serving. Daily Fresh Corn is 100% natural, healthy, cholesterol-free product that is low in fat and high in fibre. CupCorn is served in a cup which makes it convenient to consume.

It’s simply nutritiously delicious in every cup. It comes in a variety of Toppings which are Raisin, Flaky Chili, Garlic Cheese and Lemon Pepper which are localized according to the countries taste and lifestyle.

Personally, I am more prefer Garlic Cheese or Original Cupcorn. Orignal flavour Cupcorn allows me to the taste of originality sweetness of the corn and only simply mixed with some salt and margarine. Meanwhile, Garlic Cheese have more aroma and flavour but yet still my favourite choice for Cupcorn.

ICEKIMO  

 
IceKimo is made out of a unique combination of fresh fruits, natural flavoured ice & fruit toppings. IceKimo is served in a cup with its shaved form being product by very fine and thin slices of ice that is ultimately smoothing and refreshing as soon as it touches your tongue. IceKimo is available in many different varieties of fruit flavours which includes of Honeydew, Mango, Soursop, Strawberry, Pineapple, which are naturally made to taste. Daily Fresh - Company Profile


FARM
 
Daily Fresh's corn is planted and grown by it's sister company - Mah Yong, which was established since 1986. Mah Yong has over twenty years of experience in supplying high quality sweet corn to the business. The relentless research and development throughout the years has cultivated growing techniques that are conducive for the corn to be grown in Malaysia's climate and geographical environment. Mah Yong managed to grow a unique corn species which is called "G10" which is known as one of the "Best" quality corn in Malaysia and is exclusively for Daily Fresh Foods Group only.

The company has the largest corn plantation in Simpang Renggam and Pontian in Johor, Malaysia with more than 810ha which is ideal for the cultivation of corn due to its abundant peat soil. The farm churns out 275 tonnes of kernel corn monthly. Of this total, 80 percent is exported to overseas market while the remaining is for the local market.

Another of the company's farm is located in Jakarta, Indonesia, to support the rapid growth of the export market and the future demand from the franchisees. The farms are strategically and geographically situated in "Peat Soil" area and with its suitable climate conditions produces the "Best" quality of Sweet Corn.

FACTORY
 
In 1997, Daily Fresh Foods has been established a factory and processing plant in Malaysia. Daily Fresh Foods has invested a huge amount of resources to maintain a well set up food processing facilities and equipped it with the latest high-tech equipment, especially for the superior frozen system where all corn are frozen within hours of being harvested to capture the finest quality of colour, rich nutrition and natural taste. Daily Fresh has also developed the unique technique of extracting whole kernel that is "NON-CUT" from the cob. This technique ensures the original freshness, sweetness, crunchiness and juicy taste of whole corn is retained.

Daily Fresh Foods was awarded HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) certification from the World Certification Society (WCS) for its signature product "Sweet Corn Kernel" on the 13th Sept 2005. Achieving this certification took months of man-hours from a team comprising of personnel from various departments. This certification is a proven testimony of the company's relentless commitment in delivering superior quality products using the latest and most advanced technology available in the modern world today. With this HACCP certification, customers are assured that the products are clean and safe for consumption.
Daily Fresh has a capable team of Research & Development personnel who are always striving to find better techniques to improve the quality and nutritional level of its products. The products, freshness is the trademark of the brand, hence all measures are taken to ensure the products delivered to the customers are fresh and of top quality. As for Wafito, the waffle mix is prepared in the processing plant also. It is combined with all the ingredients and according to the HACCP standards of processing. The process begins by mixing all the ingredients together with the flour and followed by being sieved out for any foreign objects. The final product of flour is then packed according to the variety of flavours. IceKimo is produced in the processing plant. The natural fruits are first peeled and cooked into puree. The pure puree is then added with all the natural ingredients before being cooked. After the cooking process, the product is then cool down and transferred to a packing machine to be packed accordingly in the different flavours. All Daily Fresh products are guaranteed of its quality, freshness and nutrition.

What is Franchising?


"Franchising is the practice of using another firm's successful business and brand to operate a similar business. For the owner of the business model or better known as Franchisor, franchising is an alternative to expand the business through third party investment." quote from Franchise Malaysia Organisation.

Franchising is a concept of doing a kind of business by getting the franchise licenses. Franchising allows the franchisor for the rapid expansion of their business system by the licensing. Franchising can also be describe as the relationship between the franchisor (owner of the business),  and the franchisees (who applied licences to distribute the franchisor's goods or service, and to use the business name for a fixed period of time). 

The contract between the franchisor and the franchisees are about to pay certain fees as ongoing royalty for the right to conduct business under the name of the franchisor. The franchisor will provides the franchisee a licensed privilege to do business, plus assistance in organizing training, merchandising and management of the business ongoing.


This chart shows the relations of the franchisor that named as the Franchise Headquarters while the franchisees named as the Franchise Operators and distribute the goods and services to the customers under licenses giving and using the same brand name. This would also meant that the franchisees' sales would also affect the franchisor in some way.

Franchise business is now very common in world wide and even in our country, Malaysia. In Malaysia, franchising has grow significantly in years lately and became a trend of business building among new entrepreneurs in Malaysia.

Franchising has provide a way to start up a business with fully guidance and technical support from franchisor. Franchisor will provide all relevant information, data, preparation for the franchisee applicant and guide them to run their business. Its also become an opportunities for franchisor to wider up their businesses and branding to all around the country or even world wide. It become a win-win situation when both franchisor and franchisee earn their businesses.

Franchisor offer franchise licenses to franchisee, in the same time the franchise is another way to build 'chain stores'. However, franchisees success or not will affect the franchisor in some way, for example the reputation of the branding. Taking a franchise license is the using of other successful business model and it is the easiest way to start up your business.

According to Franchise Malaysia Organization, there are now 378 registered local franchise brands in Malaysia. And i guess now are adding more and more almost daily as the government has now more emphasis and support to people who taken franchise system could create win-win-win environment for the franchisor, franchisee and government if the business carried out properly.

I found out that franchise business is the easiest way to start up a business if you are not well prepared for own-create brand business, can start with a franchise business to practice before it. As the franchisor will be guide you along the business and prepare you to run the business well. I am about to research more about franchise next week.
